Wuling’s Next Phase in Nepal to Include SUVs, MPVs, and Compact EVs

Paramount Motors, the official distributor of Wuling Motors in Nepal, is gearing up to significantly strengthen its presence in the domestic electric vehicle (EV) market.

Building on its initial entry in 2023, the company is preparing to expand its portfolio with a wider range of products aimed at different segments of buyers.

Among the upcoming models is the Wuling Eksion EV, also known in certain markets as the Starlight 560. Positioned as a three-row electric SUV, it is expected to serve as a flagship offering within the lineup.

The model features a 69.2 kWh battery pack—referred to as the “Magic Battery Pro”—with a claimed range of up to 530 km. Its configuration suggests a focus on practicality, offering space for larger families alongside features such as advanced driver assistance systems and a 360-degree camera.

At the smaller end of the spectrum, a new four-door version of the Wuling Mini EV is also confirmed. Built on the Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) architecture, the model is designed to improve everyday usability through better rear-seat access while retaining its core identity as a compact urban commuter. With a projected range of up to 301 km, it is likely to remain oriented toward city-focused driving needs.

Further expanding into the multi-purpose segment, the Wuling Darion MPV EV is expected to cater to buyers seeking a more spacious, comfort-oriented vehicle. With a seven-seat layout, sliding doors, and a long claimed range of up to 540 km, it aligns with both family and long-distance use cases.

The Wuling Binguo EV is also set to return in an updated form. Already present in the Nepali market, the hatchback is expected to offer two battery options—31.9 kWh and 37.9 kWh—delivering claimed ranges of 333 km and 410 km respectively. Alongside its distinctive retro-inspired styling, it continues to emphasize in-cabin technology and practicality.

This next phase is supported by the global backing of SAIC-GM-Wuling, a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors, and Guangxi Automobile Group. With over 30 million vehicles produced globally, the alliance has built a reputation around scalable, accessible electric mobility solutions.

By covering multiple body styles and price points, Paramount Motors appears to be positioning itself to address a wider spectrum of EV buyers in Nepal, as the market continues to evolve.
